Rat Regenerating Islet Derived Protein 1 Alpha ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative measurement of rat Regenerating Islet Derived Protein 1 Alpha (REG1 alpha) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate on which an anti-REG1 alpha capture antibody is immobilised; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-REG1 alpha detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and the concentration of REG1 alpha in each sample is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The kit has a working assay range of 31.2–2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <12.5 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reagents should be stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed and used before the stated expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery performance averaged 91% in serum (n=5, range 83–100%), 96% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 90–103%), and 95% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 89–102%). Parallelism was demonstrated across serial dilutions: serum (n=5) recovered 83–110% at 1:2, 79–100% at 1:4, 90–98% at 1:8, and 82–108% at 1:16; EDTA plasma (n=5) recovered 90–98%, 90–105%, 73–109%, and 87–91% across the same dilutions; and heparin plasma (n=5) recovered 88–103%, 77–105%, 95–98%, and 87–110%.
