Rat Reelin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative in vitro determination of rat Reelin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format using a pre-coated 96-well microplate. Captured Reelin is bound by a biotinylated anti-Reelin antibody, then detected with an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colour reaction that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Sensitivity is stated as <6.3 pg/ml with a working assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m.

Reported recovery values are: serum (n=5) 80-102%, average 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 81-99%, average 90%; heparin plasma (n=5) 80-89%, average 84%. Linearity has been assessed at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.
