Rat Pyruvate Kinase, Liver And RBC ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat pyruvate kinase, liver and RBC (PKLR) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay runs on a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for PKLR, and reactivity is limited to rat samples.

Standards and test samples are added to the wells, with bound PKLR detected using a biotinylated anti-PKLR antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product read at 450 nm on a colourimetric microplate reader. Reported assay range is 0.781–50 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.35 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m.

Spike-and-recovery performance reported for the kit includes serum (range 80%–102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81%–99%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80%–89%, average 84%), based on n=5 determinations per matrix.
