Rat Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase, Non Receptor Type 11 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat SHP2, also known as Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase, Non Receptor Type 11. It is designed for use with tissue homogenates and other biological fluids, employing a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) read at 450 nm on a colourmetric microplate reader.

The assay principle involves an antibody specific for SHP2 pre-coated onto the plate. Standards and samples are added, captured, washed, and incubated with Biotinylated Anti-SHP2 Antibody, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The resulting yellow product is proportional to the amount of SHP2 captured in each well. Sensitivity is reported as <0.107 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m.

Sample performance has been characterised across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5), with reported mean recoveries of 91%, 94% and 95% respectively. Dilution linearity has been assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
