Rat Protein Kinase C Zeta ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Protein Kinase C Zeta (PKC zeta) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate bearing an antibody specific for PKC zeta. Standards and samples are added to the wells, where PKC zeta is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-PKC zeta antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting coloured product is read at 450 nm and the concentration of PKC zeta in each sample is calculated by referring to the standard curve.

Detection is colorimetric, with an assay working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.062 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
