Rat Protein Kinase B Beta ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat AKT2 (Protein Kinase B Beta) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for AKT2; standards and samples are added, the captured analyte is detected with a biotinylated anti-AKT2 antibody followed by an HRP conjugate and TMB substrate, and the resulting yellow product is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported sensitivity is 0.114 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml. Recovery has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5 per matrix), with average recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% across ranges of 80-102%, 81-100% and 80-89% respectively. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the total assay time is approximately 4h 30m.
