Rat Protein Kinase, AMP Activated Beta 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat AMPK beta 1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. Supplied under the Antibodies.com brand, the kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for AMPK beta 1.

Captured analyte is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-AMPK beta 1 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Sensitivity is reported as 0.060 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery performance has been characterised in serum (average 91%, range 83%–99%), EDTA plasma (average 90%, range 80%–100%) and heparin plasma (average 90%, range 82%–99%). Dilution linearity has also been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across these sample types. The kit is suitable for cell lysates and tissue homogenates in addition to other biological fluids.
