Rat Prostaglandin Endoperoxide Synthase 1 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Prostaglandin Endoperoxide Synthase 1 (COX1/Cyclooxygenase 1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay is performed on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, using a biotinylated anti-COX1 detection antibody with HRP-avidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

According to the manufacturer's specification, the kit has a sensitivity of <0.247 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.625–40 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery from spiked samples is 80–102% with an average of 91% (n=5) for serum, 81–100% with an average of 90% (n=5) for EDTA plasma, and 80–89% with an average of 84% (n=5) for heparin plasma. Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions falls within 87–107% for serum, 84–108% for EDTA plasma and 82–105% for heparin plasma.
