Rat Prostaglandin E Synthase, Microsomal ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Prostaglandin E Synthase (MPGES-1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm and uses a biotinylated detection antibody with HRP-avidin and TMB substrate to generate a measurable colorimetric signal.

The assay covers a quantitative range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and reports a sensitivity of <0.068 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Reported spike-and-recovery values (n=5 per sample type) are: Serum 80%-102% (average 91%), EDTA Plasma 81%-100% (average 90%), Heparin Plasma 80%-89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions yields recoveries between 74% and 108% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
