Rat Prolactin Induced Protein ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Prolactin Induced Protein (GCDFP-15) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a sandwich enzyme immunoassay format in which an antibody specific for GCDFP-15 is pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-GCDFP-15 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, TMB substrate is added; the resulting blue product turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader. The concentration of target in each sample is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

Quantitative detection is achieved with a reported assay range of 46.8–3000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <16.23 pg/ml, in a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been evaluated in serum (80%–102%, average 91%; n=5), EDTA plasma (81%–100%, average 90%; n=5) and heparin plasma (80%–89%, average 84%; n=5). Dilution linearity has been tested at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across all three sample types. The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or –20°C as instructed.
