Rat Prolactin ELISA Kit

This Antibodies.com kit is a sandwich ELISA designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Prolactin/PRL in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) read colourmetrically at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with detection via a biotinylated anti-Prolactin/PRL antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate.

Stated performance figures include a product range of 6.25–400 pg/ml, a sensitivity of <2.54 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported spike-and-recovery averages (n=5) are 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%). Dilution linearity (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported as: serum 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%; EDTA plasma 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%; heparin plasma 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%.
