Rat Pro-ADM ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Pro-Adrenomedullin/Pro-ADM in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The 4-hour assay uses colorimetric detection at 450 nm, with HRP-Streptavidin conjugate and TMB substrate producing a yellow product that is quantified by comparison with a standard curve.

Rated specific for Pro-Adrenomedullin/Pro-ADM with no reported cross-reactivity with other analogs or variants, the kit spans a product range of 1.563-100 pmol/L with a sensitivity of 0.938 pmol/L. Serum and plasma samples should be diluted at least 1:2 in Sample Dilution Buffer prior to testing; validated setups include healthy serum at 1:10-1:20 and rat peripheral blood cell culture supernatants following 1µg/mL LPS stimulation for 12 hours (undiluted or 1:2).

Spike-and-recovery testing averaged 93% for serum (range 88%-99%), 99% for EDTA plasma (range 93%-103%) and 97% for heparin plasma (range 89%-103%). Kits are shipped at +4°C, with components stored at +4°C or -20°C as directed in the Protocol Manual; freeze/thaw cycles should be avoided and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
