Rat Presenilin 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Presenilin 2/AD5 in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Presenilin 2/AD5; bound analyte is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Presenilin 2/AD5 Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose absorbance at 450 nm is read on a colorimetric microplate reader and compared against a standard curve. The platform is a pre-coated microplate comprising 12 x 8 well strips.

According to the manufacturer's product information, the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.059 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery values were reported as 80–102% (average 91%) in serum (n=5), 81–100% (average 90%) in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 80–89% (average 84%) in heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions ranged from 74% to 107% across the same matrices.
