Rat Podoplanin ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Podoplanin/gp36 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses an antibody specific for Podoplanin/gp36 pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are added and any target present is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Podoplanin/gp36 Antibody binds the captured analyte, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. The absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration of Podoplanin/gp36 is calculated from a standard curve.

The quantitative colourmetric assay has a reported sensitivity of 0.053 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. It is performed on a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
