Rat Podocin ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat NPHS2 (Podocin) in urine, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The procedure uses a biotinylated anti-NPHS2 detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate, the colour development being proportional to NPHS2 concentration in the sample.

Quoted performance specifications include a measuring range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, a sensitivity of <0.053 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Recovery has been characterised on spiked samples (n=5) at an average of 91% in serum (range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81%-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in the same three matrices.
