Rat Pleiotrophin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat pleiotrophin (PTN) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate organised as 12 x 8 well strips.

Standards and test samples are added to the wells; PTN is captured by an immobilised antibody, detected with a biotinylated anti-PTN antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, and visualised using TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and PTN concentration is calculated from the standard curve. Reported assay range is 31.2–2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <12.5 pg/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m.

Spike-and-recovery values across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 fall within 74–108%. Kit components include lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
