Rat Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor 2 ELISA Kit

The procedure uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for SerpinB2/PAI-2. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where the analyte binds the immobilised antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-SerpinB2/PAI-2 detection antibody is added, followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then introduced and the enzymatic reaction produces a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and SerpinB2/PAI-2 concentration is calculated against the standard curve. Sensitivity is reported as 0.51 ng/ml, with an assay range of 1.56–100 ng/ml and a total assay time of 4 h 30 min.
