Rat Placenta Growth Factor ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Placenta Growth Factor (PLGF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is reactive with rat samples and produces a colorimetric readout measured at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with signal developed via TMB substrate and an acidic stop solution. The workflow uses a biotinylated anti-PLGF detection antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate.

According to the manufacturer, the assay has a sensitivity of 28 pg/ml and a standard curve range of 78.1–5000 pg/ml. The complete assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery in serum averaged 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), in EDTA plasma 90% (range 81–100%, n=5), and in heparin plasma 84% (range 80–89%, n=5). Linearity was demonstrated across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5 each).
