Rat Phenol Sulfotransferase ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Phenol Sulfotransferase (SULT1A1/STP) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The 96-well microplate is pre-coated with a capture antibody specific for SULT1A1/STP. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-SULT1A1/STP antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the reaction is stopped with acidic solution and the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Performance characteristics cited by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of <12.4 pg/ml and a standard-curve range of 31.2–2000 pg/ml. The full protocol takes 4h 30m, and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Spiking recovery (n=5) averaged 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (80–89%). Dilution linearity is reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
