Rat Periostin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Periostin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with Periostin captured by an immobilized antibody and detected using a Biotinylated Anti-Periostin Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the enzymatic reaction is read colorimetrically at 450 nm after the addition of stop solution.

The kit has a stated sensitivity of <43 pg/ml and a quantitative range of 125–8000 pg/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Detection is performed on a colorimetric microplate reader, and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated.

Reported spike-and-recovery ranges are 80% – 102% (average 91%, n=5) in serum, 81% – 100% (average 90%, n=5) in EDTA plasma, and 80% – 89% (average 84%, n=5) in heparin plasma. The product is part of the Antibodies.com Assays and Kits range.
