Rat Peptide YY ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Peptide YY/PYY in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses pre-coated 96-well microplate strips arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and produces a colourmetric readout measured at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported performance figures include a product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <4.65 pg/ml. Spike-and-recovery averages across five replicates were 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, with serum recoveries of 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97%, EDTA plasma recoveries of 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%, and heparin plasma recoveries of 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%.

Supplied components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate stored at -20°C, lyophilised standard (2 vials, -20°C), Detection Solution A and Detection Solution B (120 µl each, -20°C), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml, +4°C), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml, -20°C), TMB Substrate (9 ml, +4°C), Stop Solution (6 ml, +4°C) and adhesive plate sealers. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the stated expiration date.
