Rat Pepsinogen C ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Pepsinogen C (also referred to as Pepsinogen II/PGC) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with detection read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Standards and test samples are added to wells pre-coated with an antibody specific for Pepsinogen II/PGC; following incubation and binding, a Biotinylated Anti-Pepsinogen II/PGC Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate are applied, and TMB substrate is used to generate a colour change proportional to the amount of target captured in each well.

Reported analytical performance: sensitivity of <1.35 ng/ml and an assay range of 4.68-300 ng/ml. Spiking recovery in serum was 80-102% (n=5, average 91%), in EDTA plasma 81-100% (n=5, average 90%), and in heparin plasma 80-89% (n=5, average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 produced ranges of 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101% and 92-97% for serum (n=5); 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101% and 79-108% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105% and 89-91% for heparin plasma (n=5).
