Rat Paraoxonase 1 ELISA Kit

Distributed by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Paraoxonase 1 (PON1) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and uses a biotinylated anti-PON1 detection antibody followed by HRP-avidin and TMB substrate, producing a yellow colour read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The product range is 3.12–200 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <1.36 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components include a pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solution A, detection solution B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed.

Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Linearity upon serial dilution (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) is supported by ranges of 87–107% for serum, 79–108% for EDTA plasma and 82–105% for heparin plasma.
