Rat Osteopontin ELISA Kit

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Osteopontin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with an antibody specific for Osteopontin immobilised on the wells. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Osteopontin detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the resulting colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Performance specifications include a quantitative range of 3.12–200 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 1.32 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery is 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Linearity data for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma are provided across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
