Rat Osteonectin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat SPARC (Osteonectin) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for SPARC. Standards and samples are added to the wells, followed by incubation with Biotinylated Anti-SPARC Antibody and then HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution, with the concentration of SPARC proportional to the absorbance read at 450 nm against a standard curve.

The assay has a product range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of <11.5 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m on a pre-coated 96-well microplate platform. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%-99%), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%-89%), each from n=5 samples. Kit components include a pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilized standard, Detection Solutions A and B, Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
