Rat Osteocalcin ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Osteocalcin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay is supplied on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 × 8 well strips, with a stated product range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 5.7 pg/ml.

Detection is colorimetric: the microplate is read at 450 nm after incubation with TMB substrate and acidic stop solution, and the resulting yellow colour intensity is proportional to the Osteocalcin captured in each well. Concentrations are calculated by reference to a standard curve. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recoveries are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma, with parallel dilution linearity demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for each matrix.
