Rat Oncostatin M ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Oncostatin M (OSM) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay is run on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and uses a biotinylated anti-OSM detection antibody with HRP-avidin and a TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported sensitivity is <5.9 pg/ml with a measuring range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml. Provided components include the pre-coated microplate, two vials of lyophilized standard, Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml), and 5 adhesive plate sealers. Storage is at +4°C for liquid working reagents and -20°C for the plate, standard and detection components, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Validation data from the manufacturer: average spike-and-recovery (n=5) was 91% for serum (range 80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Dilutional linearity was reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
