Supplied by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Glucocorticoid Receptor (Nuclear Receptor Subfamily 3, Group C, Member 1) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 × 8 well strips. An antibody specific for Glucocorticoid Receptor is immobilised on the plate; standards and test samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Glucocorticoid Receptor Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. After incubation and washing, TMB substrate is added; the resulting yellow product, read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, is proportional to the amount of target captured, allowing quantification against a standard curve.

Stated performance characteristics include an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.051 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Detection is colorimetric. Sample recovery data from the manufacturer report averages of 91% for serum (n=5, range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81–100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80–89%). The kit contains a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed and should not be used past the stated expiration date.
