From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat RVR (Nuclear Receptor Subfamily 1, Group D, Member 2) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) format in which an antibody specific for RVR captures the target from standards or test samples. Following incubation and washing, a biotinylated anti-RVR antibody binds the captured target, then an HRP-avidin conjugate is added. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a colour change that is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with the concentration of RVR calculated against the standard curve.
Reported sensitivity is <0.066 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed, and the product is intended for use with rat samples.
