Rat Neurotrophin 3 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Neurotrophin 3 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate bearing an immobilised antibody specific for Neurotrophin 3. Standards and samples are added to the wells, and the captured analyte is detected sequentially with a biotinylated anti-Neurotrophin 3 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colour change read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader; the resulting absorbance is directly proportional to the Neurotrophin 3 concentration.

The kit reports a measurable range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.063 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 h 30 min. Spike-and-recovery was 80–102% in serum (n=5, average 91%), 81–100% in EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%) and 80–89% in heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was reported as 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% for serum, 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma, and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma. Supplied items include lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, with per-component storage at +4°C or –20°C and a stated instruction not to use the kit past its expiration date.
