Rat Neurotensin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Neurotensin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique, with a microplate pre-coated with Neurotensin antigen. During incubation, Neurotensin present in samples or standards competes with the immobilised antigen for binding sites on a Biotinylated Anti-Neurotensin Antibody. Bound complex is detected with an HRP-Avidin conjugate and visualised using TMB substrate, producing a blue product that changes to yellow after addition of acidic stop solution, with the intensity of yellow inversely proportional to the amount of Neurotensin in each sample or standard.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <1.3 pmol/L across a product range of 4.68–300 pmol/L, read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The platform is a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, and total assay time is approximately 2 h 30 min. Reported recovery ranges are 80–102% for serum, 81–99% for EDTA plasma, and 80–89% for heparin plasma (n=5).

Supplied components include the pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and plate sealers.
