Rat Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y5 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Rat NPY5R ELISA Kit is a quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) intended for the in vitro determination of rat Neuropeptide Y Receptor Y5 in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The microplate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for NPY5R; standards and test samples are added to the wells and the NPY5R present is captured by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-NPY5R Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised using a TMB substrate solution to produce a blue product that converts to yellow on addition of an acidic stop solution, and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a stated measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity below 0.051 ng/ml. Reported mean recovery values across the supplied matrix table are 91% in serum (range 83–100%), 94% in EDTA plasma (range 90–99%) and 96% in heparin plasma (range 91–101%). Total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components should be stored at +4 °C or −20 °C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
