Rat Neuropeptide Y ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (cELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Neuropeptide Y in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate and relies on a Biotinylated Anti-Neuropeptide Y Antibody together with an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection is carried out with TMB substrate and the absorbance is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader; the intensity of the resulting yellow colour is inversely proportional to the amount of Neuropeptide Y present in each sample or standard.

Reported performance specifications include a measuring range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml, a sensitivity of <8.56 pg/ml, and a total assay time of 2h 30m. Reagents are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the platform is a colourimetric pre-coated microplate read on a Colorimetric Microplate Reader.

Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported as: serum 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%; EDTA plasma 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%; heparin plasma 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%.
