Rat Neuronal Pentraxin II ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Neuronal Pentraxin II (NPTX2) in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for NPTX2 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. After standards and samples are added, the plate is washed and incubated with a Biotinylated Anti-NPTX2 Antibody, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, and the concentration of NPTX2 is calculated by reading the absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve.

Sensitivity is 0.053 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, and the full assay takes around 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery values (n=5) are 80-102% in serum (average 91%), 81-100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80-89% in heparin plasma (average 84%). Linearity has been demonstrated at sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma.
