Rat Neuroglobin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Neuroglobin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. The assay employs a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate formatted as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for Neuroglobin is immobilised on the plate; standards and test samples are added, followed by washing and incubation with a Biotinylated Anti-Neuroglobin Antibody. An HRP-Avidin conjugate is then added, and after further incubation and washing, TMB substrate solution visualises the HRP enzymatic reaction as a blue product that turns yellow on addition of acidic stop solution. The yellow intensity is proportional to Neuroglobin concentration, calculated from O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader against the standard curve.

The quantitative assay range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml, with a sensitivity of <6.1 pg/ml, colourimetric detection, and a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit contents include a Pre-Coated 96-Well Microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, and plate sealers; components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed. Reactivity is rat, with sandwich ELISA as the application.

Spike recovery (n=5) ranges from 80%–102% in serum (average 91%), 81%–100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%), and 80%–89% in heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions (all n=5) spans 74%–107% in serum, 79%–108% in EDTA plasma, and 82%–105% in heparin plasma.
