Rat Neuregulin 2 ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Rat NRG2 ELISA Kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat NRG2 (Neuregulin 2) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for NRG2 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; NRG2 present in each sample binds to the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-NRG2 Antibody is added, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate and further incubation. TMB substrate is then added, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of NRG2 captured, and the concentration is calculated by reading absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve.

Sensitivity is stated as <0.062 ng/ml and the assay range as 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m, with detection performed on a colorimetric microplate reader. Reported recovery averages are serum 91% (range 80–102%, n=5), EDTA plasma 90% (range 81–100%, n=5) and heparin plasma 84% (range 80–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity is reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n=5).
