Rat Nerve Growth Factor IB ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat NUR77, also known as Nerve Growth Factor IB, in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for NUR77 immobilised on the plate surface. Standards and samples are added to the wells and bound by the immobilised antibody, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-NUR77 detection antibody. After washing, an HRP-avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the reaction, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution, with the intensity of yellow proportional to the amount of NUR77 captured. The concentration is calculated by reading the optical density at 450 nm against a standard curve.

The standard assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.055 ng/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery averages are 91% in serum (n=5, range 80%-102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%). All kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product is for research use only.
