Rat Nerve Growth Factor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated anti-NGF antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate for detection. The colorimetric reaction is read at 450 nm on a microplate reader and NGF concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The standard curve covers 39–2500 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 14 pg/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4h 30m. Kit components supplied include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard (2 vials), detection solution A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers; components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol.

Spike-and-recovery performance has been validated for serum (n=5) at 80–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5) at 81–100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5) at 80–89% (average 84%), with dilution linearity reported across 1:2 to 1:16 for each of these sample types.
