Rat Natriuretic Peptide Receptor 2 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Natriuretic Peptide Receptor 2 (NPR-B) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs an antibody specific for NPR-B that has been pre-coated onto the wells; standards and samples are added and the NPR-B present is captured by the immobilized antibody. Following incubation and washing, a Biotinylated Anti-NPR-B Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of an acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of NPR-B captured in each well and the concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.

The assay has a sensitivity of <0.056 ng/ml and a measuring range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported recovery values are 80%–102% in serum (average 91%, n=5), 81%–100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%, n=5), and 80%–89% in heparin plasma (average 84%, n=5). Components are intended for storage at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past the expiration date.
