Rat Natriuretic Peptide Receptor 1 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Natriuretic Peptide Receptor 1 (NPR-A) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses an antibody specific for NPR-A pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where NPR-A is captured by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-NPR-A Antibody binds the captured NPR-A, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution yields a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm and the concentration of NPR-A is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Detection is colourimetric on a pre-coated microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported sensitivity is 0.106 ng/ml and the assay range spans 0.312-20 ng/ml. Reported spike-and-recovery values across sample types include serum (n=5, 80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (n=5, 81-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (n=5, 80-89%, average 84%).
