Rat Myostatin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative measurement of rat Myostatin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microtiter plate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Myostatin, and detection is performed colourimetrically by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The kit employs a biotinylated anti-Myostatin antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. The intensity of yellow is proportional to Myostatin concentration, which is calculated by reference to a standard curve. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Quantitative performance is specified across a range of 0.625–40 ng/ml, with a sensitivity of <0.214 ng/ml. Reagents are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product is for research use only.
