Rat Myosin Heavy Chain 8, Skeletal Muscle, Perinatal ELISA Kit

The Antibodies.com Rat MYH8 ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat myosin heavy chain 8 (MYH8) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) together with a biotinylated anti-MYH8 detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and is proportional to the amount of MYH8 captured.

Reported sensitivity is 24.8 pg/ml with an assay range of 62.5-4000 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Recovery ranges reported by the manufacturer are 80-102% in serum (n=5, average 91%), 81-100% in EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%) and 80-89% in heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%), with comparable linearity across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for each sample type.

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the indicated expiration date.
