Rat Myosin Heavy Chain 7, Cardiac Muscle, Beta ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Slow Skeletal Myosin Heavy Chain in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) on which an antibody specific for Slow Skeletal Myosin Heavy Chain has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Slow Skeletal Myosin Heavy Chain Antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction is visualised as a colour change read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with analyte concentration calculated against the standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is 43 pg/ml and the working standard range is 125–8000 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5), with mean recoveries of 91%, 90% and 84% respectively, and dilution linearity reported at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
