Description
Supplied by Antibodies.com, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat MYH6 (Myosin Heavy Chain 6, Cardiac Muscle, Alpha) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with rat samples and uses a colorimetric detection method read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.
The kit employs a sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique carried out on a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format. An antibody specific for MYH6 is immobilised on the plate; standards and test samples are added and any MYH6 present is captured. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-MYH6 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of MYH6 captured, allowing concentration to be calculated against a standard curve. Reported sensitivity is <0.057 ng/ml, the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4h 30m.
Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, Wash Buffer (30X), Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and adhesive plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or −20°C as instructed. The kit is suitable for serum, plasma and tissue homogenates.
