Rat Myelin Basic Protein ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Myelin Basic Protein in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and employs a biotinylated anti-Myelin Basic Protein antibody with HRP-Avidin detection, visualised using TMB substrate and read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The quantitative assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Validated recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.

Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection reagents, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
