Rat Mucin 5 Subtype AC ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Mucin 5AC in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated detection antibody and an HRP-avidin reporter visualised using a TMB substrate and read at 450 nm on a colourimetric microplate reader. The standard curve covers an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.115 ng/ml, and the full protocol is completed in 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C and not used past the indicated expiration date.

Spike-and-recovery validation returned the following results: serum (n=5) 80%–102%, average 91%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 81%–101%, average 91%; heparin plasma (n=5) 80%–89%, average 84%. Dilution linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, with serum samples ranging 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97%; EDTA plasma 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%; and heparin plasma 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%.
