Rat Motilin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Motilin in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for Motilin. Standards and samples are added to the wells where Motilin is captured by the immobilized antibody, followed by a biotinylated anti-Motilin antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow after addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is measured at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard assay range is 93.8-6000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <42.5 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery validation showed ranges of 80-102% in serum (average 91%, n=5), 81-100% in EDTA plasma (average 90%, n=5), and 80-89% in heparin plasma (average 84%, n=5). Linearity was evaluated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date.
