Description

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat CXCL9 (also known as Monokine Induced By Interferon Gamma) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, in which a CXCL9-specific antibody is pre-coated onto the wells of a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added, captured CXCL9 is bound by a Biotinylated Anti-CXCL9 Antibody, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate combined with TMB substrate produces a colour change read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit delivers quantitative results with an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/ml, calculated against a standard curve. The pre-coated microplate is configured as 12 x 8 well strips, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.

Validated sample types include serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery testing gave averages of 91% (serum, range 80%-102%), 90% (EDTA plasma, range 81%-100%) and 84% (heparin plasma, range 80%-89%). Dilution linearity was demonstrated across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum (74-107%), EDTA plasma (79-108%) and heparin plasma (82-105%).
