Rat Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 3 ELISA Kit

Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 3 (MCP3), this sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com is suitable for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) with an antibody specific for MCP3. Standards and samples are added to the wells, captured MCP3 is detected using a Biotinylated Anti-MCP3 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, and the enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate. The yellow colour produced after addition of stop solution is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, and the MCP3 concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The kit covers a standard range of 15.6–1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <5.9 pg/ml, and the total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recoveries are 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5), and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Linearity on dilution is documented across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions: serum 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% (n=5); EDTA plasma 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% (n=5); heparin plasma 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% (n=5).
