Rat Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 1 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Rat Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 1 (MCP1) ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat MCP1. It is reactive with rat samples and is suitable for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and samples are added to wells containing immobilised anti-MCP1 antibody, followed by a biotinylated anti-MCP1 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the reaction; after addition of acidic stop solution, absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The stated product range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, sensitivity is 0.061 ng/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported recovery averages were 91% for serum (range 80–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%), with linearity demonstrated at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16.
